A COLLECTION OF WATERCOLOUR ABSTRACT PAINTINGS ON A THEME OF STAINED GLASS PORTHOLE WINDOWS, SUGGESTIVE OF SKIES, SEAS AND LANDSCAPES.
The use of windows in our world is magical. They enable us light, take away the dark, allow us air yet protect us from the elements.
Used every day so many times they are unavoidable, overlooked and somehow become invisible. To not have them in our lives would be unimaginable.
The smallest window is a porthole window; A snippet of the world in a small circle of abstraction.
In this collection of watercolours I have created stained glass themed porthole windows of abstract images, broken down into the simplest of forms; a suggestion of sky, sea, air and earth. A little window of colour to gaze into and beyond.
